April 4, 2007 1:01 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

Although his best-known song credits are “Wild Thing” and “Angel of the Morning,” New York’s Chip Taylor has a mile-long list of hits since 1962, written for various legendary performers including Janis Joplin, Waylon Jennings, and Anne Murray.

This month Chip launches his indie label Train Wreck Records by releasing one from guitarist John Platania and another from Canadian fiddler Kendel Carson. They’ll join Chip Taylor and the Trainwreck Revue for a live performance Wednesday, April 4 at noon on Music with Jay Trachtenberg before the group’s in-store at Waterloo Records and show at the Cactus Cafe.
