Tita Lima

As part of our SXSW 2007 Music Festival celebration, Michael welcomed Tita Lima to Studio 1A on March 15.

Brazilian singer and composer Tita Lima was born into a musical family. Her grandmother taught her piano at a young age, and her father – bassist for ‘70s rock band Os Mutantes – taught her to play bass. Her music blends a rootsy mix of jazz, samba, and ‘70s bossa nova with touches of hip hop and reggae.
