Austin-based singer/songwriter Patty Griffin has come a long way in the music world since age 16, when she picked up a fifty-dollar guitar and began writing songs. Among her half-dozen recordings within the last decade, Griffin explores her personal style, featuring a poetic lyricism, melodic guitar picking and bluesy vocals all her own. Griffin has ‘arrived’ with her latest Children Running Through. Patty Griffin played live on Music with Jay Trachtenberg March 6, 2007 just before she embarked on her national tour.
