NOMO Live From Studio 1A

As part of our SXSW 2007 Music Festival celebration, Jay welcomed NOMO to Studio 1A.

Afro-funk band NOMO had humble beginnings, starting out as a few guys jamming for fun in an Ann Arbor, Michigan, living room. Four years later, the band finds itself with 11 members (and counting) and preparing to release their third album. Led by multi-instrumentalist Elliot Bergman, the group’s sound is described as a blend of African polyrhythm and American free jazz.
