Michael Franti & Spearhead – March 5, 2007
Singer Michael Franti was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Davis, California. After high school, he went to play basketball for the University of San Francisco. It was there that he tuned in to college radio and fell in love with, in his own words, “the magic of music.” He and his band currently have tour dates in New Orleans and San Francisco, and will make an appearance at the sold out Strawberry Music Festival in Yosemite, California. He performed live in Studio 1A with Jay Trachtenberg on March 5, 2007.
