As part of our SXSW 2007 Music Festival celebration, Jay welcomed John Hammond to Studio 1A.

Born in New York City to famous Columbia Records talent scout John Hammond, Sr., guitarist and harmonica biter John Hammond led the blues renaissance of the mid-60s. His extensive recorded output since 1962 answers the reason why he’s commonly referred to as the “white Robert Johnson.”
