Alexi Murdoch Live From 1A

As part of our SXSW 2007 Music Festival celebration, John welcomed Alexi Murdoch to Studio 1A.

Growing up in Scotland, the U.K. folk sound had a clear influence on the music of Alexi Murdoch. After moving to Los Angeles in the ‘90s, sounds of lo-fi indie rock crept into his songs. Sentimental and meaningful, his voice and music have a resonant, beautifully haunting quality.
