The Horsies Live in Studio 1A

February 22, 2007 1:01 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

Austin’s The Horsies assembled in the early ‘90s with one thing in mind: getting people to dance instead of stare at their shoes, heckle, and slam into each other. Their “afro-pop meets American rock” aesthetic made their dream possible. Members of The Horsies have been a part of various local groups including Poison 13, Glass Eye, The Meat Purveyors, Pocket Fishrmen, Big Foot Chester, Cat Scientist, and many other garage entities. The Horsies bounced in Studio 1A on February 21 on Music with Jay Trachtenberg before their Saturday night show at Jovita’s.
