Romi Mayes Performed Live

December 18, 2006 1:00 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

Romi Mayes left her hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba over ten years ago, with her guitar in hand and a thumb in the air. Since, she’s shared the stage with Martha Wainwright, Fred Eaglesmith, Ricky Skaggs and Camper Van Beethoven to name a few, all while presenting her original blend of Americana-bluegrass guitar style with honest, edgy songs. Her new release Sweet Somethin’ Steady was produced by Gurf Morlix, and we got a taste of it when she visited Studio 1A for an intimate set with host Jay Trachtenberg on Monday, December 18, 2006.
