this is an interview with richard buckley, artistic director of the austin lyric opera company. he discusses their current production of puccini’s Madame Butterfly, the january show, philip glass’s Waiting for the Barbarians, and rossini’s The Barber of Seville, coming in april. there is a music segment, a trio and aria, with the cast of Butterly, eric fennell (pinkerton), tihana herceg (suzuki). and david malis (sharpless), with eldon little, piano, and maestro buckley conducting.
