Shawn Colvin

Shawn Colvin was born in South Dakota and moved to London, then Carbondale, IL, before coming to Austin. Her partnership with songwriter John Leventhal has led to a series of Grammys since 1989 including Best Contemporary Folk Recording, Best Female Pop Vocal and Record and Song of the Year. Colvin’s latest release and Nonesuch debut These Four Walls features guest performances from Patty Griffin and Teddy Thompson. Shawn Colvin was live in Studio 1A on Friday, October 20, 2006.
