Noted American blues singer, guitarist and songwriter Keb’ Mo’ was born Kevin Moore in South Central Los Angeles. Keb’s first recordings in the 70s with Jefferson Starship and Papa John Creach led to his 1980 R&B debut Rainmaker. After more than a decade of honing his songwriting craft and jamming with blues greats like Albert Collins and Big Joe Turner, Keb’ Mo’ released his self-titled debut in 1994. With a half-dozen albums and a couple Grammys under his blues belt, Keb’ Mo’ returns with his latest release Suitcase. Keb’ Mo’ performed live in Studio 1A Thursday at 1:30pm on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
