Jelly Jar Live

Austin’s Jelly Jar mixes up the blues, folk, bluegrass, swing and country for a tantalizing blend of danceable grooves. Songwriters Tom Metcalf and Rick Duszynski met at the same Southern California school where the eccentricities of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart collided. Two decades later, the pair joined forces in Austin and bonded their musical chemistry. Help celebrate the release of their new CD “Currant Jelly” at a fundraiser for Hospice Austin at the UT Golf Club Monday night. They performed live in Studio 1A at 10:30am on Monday, October 30th on Eklektikos with John Aielli.
