Citizen Cope

Clarence Greenwood is Citizen Cope. Born in Memphis, Greenwood first broke into the music biz a decade ago by appearing on east coast rapper Basehead’s recordings. Cope plays keyboard and guitar while lending lead vocals and acting as songwriter and producer for most of his projects. His new release Every Waking Moment features more of his blues-rock inflected with hip-hop tendencies, and his soul shines through on every track. Citizen Cope performed live in Studio 1A Monday at 10:30am on Eklektikos with John Aielli.
