Kaki King
Kaki King of Atlanta, Georgia always thought she’d be the drummer for a rock band before finding herself drawn to the guitar styles of Preston Reed and Michael Hedges. King got her first taste of solo guitar performance while attending college in NYC and frequenting open-mic nights. Five years and three albums later, King’s 2006 recording Until We Felt Red features her deft finger-style guitar picking and prominent vocals. Kaki King performed Thursday live in Studio 1A at 10:30a with host John Aielli on Eklektikos.
