Drop Trio

Houston’s Drop Trio take the sonic elements of what’s considered progressive jazz and push them to the outer limits with their organ-driven, spaced-out jazz funk. Led by organist Ian Varley, their latest recording Cezanne reflects the group’s adventurous approach to the trio concept. They performed live in Studio 1A Thursday at noon with Jay Trachtenberg.
