Leni Stern Quartet
Born in Germany, Composer/guitarist/pianist/vocalist Leni Stern moved to Boston in the late 70’s to attend Berklee. A few years later she moved to New York and has worked steadily in clubs there ever since. Her guitar skills have arguably been overshadowed, possibly due to husband and jazz guitar virtuoso Mike Stern dominating the scene, but her compositional reach has led to a recent foray into uncharted pop-folk territory. Leni Stern performed live on guitar with a trio featuring local jazz stalwarts Brannen Temple and John Fremgen live in Studio 1A Thursday with Jay Trachtenberg.
