Big Chris Gates and Gatesville
Big Chris Gates of Austin has become a local punk rock legend after multiple stints since the 70s with groundbreaking local bands including Big Boys, Poison 13, Junkyard and the Skatenigs. His latest project Gatesville was born after conversations with Jon Dee Graham on writing more meaningful material. Gatesville’s new release Ain’t it Grand blends the best of Chris’s Texas country roots with good ole southern-fried rock-n-roll. Gatesville performed live in Studio 1A on Eklektikos Thursday at 2pm.
