Eliot Fisk and the Miro String Quartet
Master of Spanish classical guitar Andres Segovia once wrote that Eliot Fisk belongs “at the top line of our artistic world.” Fisk has performed to dazzling critical and public acclaim in recital, as soloist with major orchestras and in a wide variety of chamber music combinations in the great concert halls of the world. The Miro String Quartet formed in the fall of 1995 at Oberlin and will celebrate its tenth anniversary this season. Currently, they’re the Faculty String Quartet-in-residence at UT Austin. The quartet led by Fisk on guitar performed Thursday at noon on Eklektikos.
